Sufjan Stevens Covers "Space Oddity" Just in Time for David Bowie Box Set Announcement

July 13, 2017

Another David Bowie box set is on the way, and this one’s made up of 11 CDs. That’s because A New Career in a New Town (1977-1982) includes the late musician’s releases from the years 1977-1982 with a focus on the Berlin Trilogy—the consecutively released Low, Heroes, and Lodger albums.

Highlights of the box set include producer Tony Visconti’s 2017 Lodger remix, a photo book, and the instant grat track “Beauty and the Beast” (which was previously unavailable digitally and on CD) upon pre-order. And, of course, A New Career in a New Town features remastered albums that promise rare and unreleased goodies.

Interested? The box set will be released on September 29. For complete details and track listings, check out the website

Oh, and while we’re on the Bowie topic, check out this amazing “Space Oddity” cover done by the talented musician Sufjan Stevens (along with fellow Planetarium geniuses Nico Muhly, The National’s Bryce Dessner, and James McAlister) earlier this week in Paris, as discovered by Consequence of Sound.
