Wow, It's already been one week and there's still such a loud buzz
about
Finally a KMET Friday. More photos are posting every day and more

clips are now available here, too.

Finally-A-KMET-Friday was the best. What can I say other than THANK YOU to everybody who made the day a huge success. All the hard work and love that went into this project made it the event it turned out to be. To the team at The Sound and to the KMET gang, a giant Whooya. By now, Jack Snyder is back in New Orleans enjoying some gumbo and sharing a beer with Dr. John; Ace is still in So Cal. For a guy who grew up in Ojai, he might be getting a tad sick of the long cold Wyoming winters, I'm just saying.

As we get closer to Friday, your enthusiasm for our KMET Tribute
is overwhelming. We are so appreciative of your calls and e-mails
and memories.
Several people have asked if the KMET DJ's who now work at KLOS
are invited.

Happy to know that so many 100.3 The Sound listeners are excited about Finally a KMET Friday. I've been hearing from many of you who want to know why the KMET alumni who work at KLOS are not included in the line up. Suffice it to say, everybody over there was invited and we would welcome their participation. "Guys it's not too late to change your minds"

The one thing that I have heard from you since joining The Sound is the comparisons to The Mighty Met.
From all the emails and calls it became very logical that it was high time somebody in Los Angeles acknowledge the legacy of KMET. After all the Met has been off the air for over 20 years but you guys still remember and remember fondly. It's really amazing that it took this long for a radio station in So. Cal. To come up with a KMET Tribute Day. I'm thinking 100.3 The Sound is the heir apparent.
